Campus Excursion: Research Infrastructure at USAMV Cluj-Napoca
The excursion will take place on the main USAMV Cluj-Napoca campus and will offer participants an opportunity to explore the University's research infrastructure, academic facilities and areas of expertise. The campus visit is scheduled to conclude at approximately 16:00. Participants travelling to Cluj-Napoca Airport should allow around 45 minutes for the transfer, with an expected arrival at approximately 17:00. Please plan your onward travel accordingly.
Time Table
- 13:30–14:00 | Institute of Advanced Horticultural Research of Transylvania (ICHAT): The visit will introduce participants to a modern research infrastructure dedicated to advanced research in horticulture, plant sciences and related interdisciplinary fields.
- 14:00–14:30 | University Library and Museum: A short visit will highlight the academic tradition, history and development of USAMV Cluj-Napoca.
- 15:00–15:30 | Institute of Life Sciences (ISV): Participants will visit selected research laboratories and receive a brief introduction to the Institute's main research areas, modern equipment and interdisciplinary activities. The visit will also include a short presentation of the Pilot Station for Biotechnology, showcasing the pilot-scale facilities used for research, teaching and technological development in food science and biotechnology.
- 15:30–16:00 | Faculty of Veterinary Medicine: The excursion will conclude with a short visit to one of the University's key academic and research areas, with a strong focus on education, clinical practice, research and animal health.
